The light transmittance of agricultural film consists of two parts, one is direct light, and the other is scattered light. The diffuse scattering film accounts for more scattered light. The light entering the shed is softer, and the light is more uniform, which avoids the direct light burns to the crops in the high temperature stage.
The temperature of the diffuse scattering film in the morning and evening is higher than that of the transparent film, and at noon when the light is the strongest, the temperature is lower than that of the transparent film. In some southern high-temperature areas, lower the temperature in the shed at noon to prevent crop burns and provide a more comfortable artificial working environment.
The light is more uniform and the scattered light is increased, so that the irradiation area is larger, so that the crops in the shed can be illuminated by the sun regardless of whether they are in some blind spots. At the same time, for some high-plant crops, the crops below will not be blocked by the leaves above.
As can be seen from the figure below, the diffuse scattering film is on the left, the normal film is on the right, and the upper and lower leaves on the left are all illuminated evenly. Due to the amount of direct light on the right, the upper leaves block the light, so the lower leaves will not get light, but the shadows of the upper leaves.
When using transparent film, most of the light is vertical (vertical) light distribution

When there is direct sunlight at noon, the temperature in the shed is too high and sunburn is prone to occur.
Scattered (horizontal) light distribution

The temperature rises quickly in the morning and evening, and noon is good for shading to slow down the temperature rise of the shed;
Lower leaves are more helpful for photosynthesis;
Can form a better small (micro) climate and less plant pressure;
The growth and development are all consistent, just like potted plants.
